Seyed Mostafa Taghavi received his Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology in 2012 and his Master’s degree in Mineral Processing from the University of Tehran in 2015. From 2017 to 2022, he gained extensive industry experience working as an R&D expert, quality control specialist, and process engineer in iron and phosphate processing plants. He subsequently completed a second Master's degree in Advanced Materials and Innovative Recycling (AMIR) through the joint program at the University of Bordeaux and TU Darmstadt. Currently, he is a PhD candidate at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), while collaborating with CERENA at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) in Lisbon and Politecnico di Torino (POLITO). His research is focused on: Mineral processing, secondary resource recovery, sustainable hydrometallurgy, circular economy, and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
