Weixian Zhang received his B.Eng. degree in Software Engineering from Beihang University, China, in 2019, and his M.Eng. degree in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from China University of Petroleum, Beijing, China, in 2024. From 2019 to 2021, he worked in fintech at China Construction Bank Corporation, Shenzhen Branch, focusing on software development and data analysis. In 2024, he started his PhD in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering at China University of Petroleum, Beijing. In September 2026, he joined CERENA, Instituto Superior Técnico, Universidade de Lisboa, as a visiting PhD student. His research is focused on: Wellbore stability, Computational geomechanics, Porous media mechanics, Multiphysics coupling, Finite Element Method, Physics- and data-driven modeling, FEM–PINN coupled methods, Artificial intelligence in petroleum engineering.
