Zhen Wang began his PhD studies in Mining Engineering at China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) in September 2022. He is currently a visiting researcher at CERENA, Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon. His research focuses on rock mechanics and the effects of acidic conditions on the pore structure evolution of coal samples.
