Kjidaa Bouthayna

Postdoctoral researcher

CERENA-FEUP

.

Bouthayna Kjidaa obtained her PhD in physical chemistry and materials from Ibn Zohr University, Agadir (Morocco), where her research focused on developing sustainable biomaterials for water treatment and environmental remediation. Her work involved the valorisation of marine waste, including the extraction and modification of materials, and the design of innovative nanocomposites with high adsorption performance. She has extensive experience in applying experimental approaches and analytical methods to optimize material performance for environmental applications. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at CERENA, contributing to the ValorWaste project, which focuses on the valorisation of extractive waste and the development of sustainable solutions to support a circular economy in the raw materials sector.
