João Senra graduated from Faculdade de Cièncias e Tecnologias da Universidade Nova de Lisboa (FCT/UNL) in 2019 with a BSc in Geological Engineering and, in 2021, completed a MSc in Mining and Geological Engineering, at Instituto Superior Técnico. The MSc thesis, titled "Sample thickness influence on flexural strength under concentrated load of some Portuguese ornamental stones", was conducted in collaboration with CERENA-IST and several companies in the portuguese ornamental stone industry.
Currently, he's a research fellow at CERENA-IST, working on a project which looks to expand on the topics discussed his MSc thesis, regarding cladding thickness and its influence on flexural strength.
