António Aguiar has a BSc and MSc in Chemistry, both degrees from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto. He holds a PhD in Chemistry from the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra. His PhD work aimed to develop new organic semiconductor compounds and their application in organic photovoltaic cells. He joined the Instituto de Telecomunicações for the first postdoctoral research project to study oligomers and polymers with conductive and biodegradable characteristics for biomedical application. Currently, he is a postdoctoral researcher at CIPADE S.A and CERENA. His research focuses on microencapsulation techniques and new self-reactive and ecological adhesives for the footwear industry.
