Chemical Engineer, Professor and Researcher. He has the degree of Engineer from the "Ordem de Engenheiros" which represents the Portuguese engineers. His MsC (1985) and PhD (1995) were in catalysis and petroleum refining engineering. Professor for more than 30 years, regent of Chemical Reaction Engineering and Multiphase Unit Operations. Professor of Industrial catalysis and chemical reactors at PhD industrial program. Has orientated more than 6 PhD and more than 15 MsC Thesis over catalysis and reactors. Published more than 40 international papers in peer reviewed journals on catalysis, reactors and environment issues. Performed the preliminary engineering design, by scale-up of laboratory reactor bench scale, of two heterogeneous reactors for portuguese enterprises.
