CORKBIND - Development of sustainable, high-performance binders for cork agglomeration, using renewable raw materials

About

On going

Led by CIPADE, the CORKBIND project aims to develop sustainable and high-performance binders for cork agglomeration based on renewable feedstocks, including castor, sunflower, and rapeseed oils, as well as di- and tri-isocyanates with a high bio-based content. In collaboration with SEDACOR and IST, the project strives to replace traditional petrochemical binders, contributing to a lower carbon footprint and reduced emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
