On 24th and 25th June, 2026, the kick-off meeting of GreenMetal Mapping took place at Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon.
This project aims to reinforce Europe’s strategic autonomy in critical raw materials, taking advantage of two interoperable products. On one hand, a Geospatial Intelligence Suite that combines AI-based mineral targeting, risk analysis, and environmental sensitivity mapping. On the other hand, a Circular Economy KPI Dashboard that enables data traceability, carbon intensity estimation, and strategic reporting based on EU Taxonomy and CSRD indicators. The project has CERENA’s members Leonardo Azevedo, João Narciso, Vasco Miranda, Omri Gadol, and Maria João Pereira.
