Within the scope of the national program “Cientificamente Provável” of the School Libraries Network, CERENA, represented by Gustavo Paneiro, Ângela Pereira, Francisca Rey and Susana Muiños, was present, on March 14th at the Agrupamento de Escolas de Vila Nova da Barquinha.
Some demonstrations of the CERENA's outreach activity "Cocktail de Ciências" were taken, in a portable way, to the school.
The students from the 9th to the 12th grade had the opportunity to learn about how we can prevent landslides, what physical and chemical properties are used to separate minerals, and to realize, through a game of successful probability application, that the greater the geological knowledge we have of the area of exploitation, the greater the probability of success of the investment.
