Women in Science: Amélia Dionísio

Amélia Dionísio is one of the faces of the new book Mulheres na Ciência that homages the Portuguese women scientists who have made important contributions to scientific research.

The book, published by Ciência Viva, was launched on March 8^th, the International Women’s Day. This is already the 2^nd Edition, and gathers the testimonies of 109 female scientists that join the 137 faces and testimonies of the 1^st Edition. “It was a great honor and a privilege to be invited to participate in such project. Much has happened in the field of stone cultural Heritage conservation in the past decades, and I am very proud to be among those women and men who pursue to contribute to the increasing challenges that our shared heritage is facing”, says the researcher.
