Catarina Rafaela Fernandes Marques and Pedro Miguel Martins Pereira, two PhD students in Petroleum Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico and also young researchers from CERENA, were awarded a Travel Grant by the global professional organization “European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers” (EAGE).
This award comprises a financial support and a full registration at the “80th EAGE Conference & Exhibition 2018“, allowing these two students to participate and present their research work on the next 11-14 June in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The EAGE conference is the largest and most comprehensive annual multidisciplinary geoscience event on the world, includes in total over 1,000 technical oral and e-Posters presentations and a technical exhibition presenting the latest developments in geophysics, geology and petroleum engineering. More than 6,000 people from almost 100 different countries visit this event annually. EAGE has approximately 19,000 members worldwide, either professionally or academically involved in various fields such as geophysics, oil exploration, geology, civil and reservoir engineering, mining, underground excavation and environmental issues.
