Nanofluids: Synthesis, Properties and Applications
This chapter demonstrates that a careful nanomaterial selection and their characterization are crucial for the nanofluids preparation and stability. Actual existing suppliers must provide "nanomaterial identification" for achieving a special and focused functionality. A generic methodology for obtaining stable nanofluids, using ultrasounds energy is presented. A key point is the permanence of the identity of the nanoparticle without compromising the basic characteristic of the fluid involved.
