Rita Salgueiro (Salgueiro, A.R.) has a degree in Environmental and Applied Geology, concluded in 1999 at Faculty of Sciences (University of Lisbon), a MSc on Georesources concluded in 2001 at Instituto Superior Técnico (former Technical University of Lisbon, actually University of Lisbon) with work related with Stochastic Characterization of the Mexilhoeira Grande - Portimão Aquifer and a PhD on Engineering Sciences concluded in 2009 at Instituto Superior Técnico with the thesis Modelling the Impact of Effluent Contamination in the Vicinity of Metallic Mines. She has published 4 book chapters, 10 papers in peer review journals and 38 papers were presented in congresses with peer review. She has participated in 14 research projects, 3 of them still running, one under her coordination. In the last years has co-advised 3 MSc thesis, 1 PhD thesis and 1 final degree report. Her major research interests are in the fields of geostatistics and multivariate data analysis applied to natural resources.
