A field campaign took place in December 2016 in Fogo island in Cape Verde with the participation of CERENA. The objective was to acquire remotely sensed imagery with UAVs. The campaign was a success, since all \’Chã das Caldeiras\’ was covered with ultra high resolution imagery. Orthomosaics and digital elevation models with centimetric resolution will be prepared in a near future, to serve as the basis for all the other tasks of the project FIRE, funded by FCT, and whose main objective is to make a multidisciplinary evaluation of the 2014-2015 eruption.
