Last December the 17th , CERENA signed a new collaboration agreement with the Empresa Nacional para o Mercado dos Combustíveis, E.P.E (ENMC). This agreement was signed at the ENMC headquarters by the Presidents of both institutions, Prof. Maria João Pereira (CERENA) and Dr. Paulo Carmona (ENMC)
The collaboration agreement comprises the transfer of technical and scientific knowledge between both institutions in fields related with the Oil and Gas exploration in the Portuguese sedimentary basins, enabling the development of innovative Master, Ph.D. Thesis and other research work for the characterization of the Portuguese subsurface geology.
The results from the projects to be developed under the scope of this partnership will provide new insights about the knowledge of the Portuguese petroleum systems, its potential for hydrocarbon accumulation of interest and its exploitation in a sustainable way. This new agreement is the recognition of the work of excellence developed by the multi-disciplinary research teams of CERENA.
