Eduardo Barrela’s work in the Top 6 nominated for Award at RDPETRO Conference

IST/CERENA’s researcher and Petroleum Engineering PhD student, Eduardo Barrela, was selected to present his work entitled “Integrating consistent streamline regionalization and multi-local distribution functions into geostatistical history matching: A real case application” at the RDPETRO Conference in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. His work has also been shortlisted, among 160 technical abstracts, by the RDPETRO Conference Technical Program Committee as one of the 6  highly commended by the jury for presentation at the Technical Abstracts Awards event.

RDPETRO is invested in looking at the newest advances in technology and research development, which address major oil and gas challenges (both upstream and downstream). The event has received over 500 innovative ideas, project proposals and case studies from 41 countries, reaching international importance and counting with the support of leading national and international oil companies.
